ETEC 623 Project Proposal Format

Project Focus: Supporting technology (focus 3)
Project Description:
My proposed project consists of a proposal to my employer for the purchase of three state-of the-art overhead projectors.
This project is important because the only overhead projector we had, ceased to work last fall. We have two conference rooms: we will assign one projector per room and the remaining projector will serve as a back up, in case either one of the assigned projectors breaks down. These projectors will allow us to impart valuable information not only to our employees, but will also allow us to professionally display information during trainings to service companies who request training from us in our product lines.
I chose this project, because it will sharpen my proposal-writing skills; I have done many presentations before; nevertheless, I have never written a proposal before. I believe this will be an opportunity for professional growth. Additionally, this project demonstrates my effectiveness in the promotion of technology.
PROJECT ARTIFACTS
1) I will post the proposal for the class and instructor’s perusal and comment.
2) The overhead projector proposal should accomplish the goals previously outlined in this proposal; these goals should be used as quality indicator barometers.
3) The artifacts presented should accurately reflect my engagement in the process, because in my opinion, the overhead purchase proposal supports the effective use of technology acquisition.
